Our Team is able to advise on all aspects of the PBC process. On the commissioning side, we can assist with contractual documentation to regulate the arrangements between the PCT and the commissioning practice or group of practices. Where practices decide to work together in making recommendations for the commissioning of services, we can advise on how to structure the group so that there are clear decision making processes and criteria for allocation of any incentive payments and freed up resources.
On the providing side, we can prepare APMS or SPMS contractual documentation between the PCT and the provider. We can also assist providers, whether GP practices, groups of practices or provider companies on how to structure themselves properly, with due regard to any governance and probity issues which arise if the provider is also a commissioner of services.
