Puja Patel

Puja joined Lockharts in September 2006 and was admitted as a Solicitor in June 2009.  She became an Associate at Lockharts in October 2010.

Puja is a member of our Commercial Team and works primarily in the dental team advising dentists, dental care professionals and dental corporate bodies on the commercial aspects of dentistry.  This includes the following:

• Sale and Purchase of Dental Practices - Combining a broad knowledge of dental and NHS regulatory law with her knowledge of commercial property transactions, Puja is proficient in advising on all aspects of dental transactions including advising on due diligence responses, preparing bespoke sale documentation, advising on property matters, organisational structures and ensuring compliance with NHS legislation.
• Incorporation – Working closely with the client and specialist dental accountants, Puja advises on the incorporation of dental body corporates including the set up of companies, tailoring of existing companies, the drafting of asset purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements and associated company documentation to ensure that it complies with dental and NHS regulatory law.
• Partnership Deeds and expense sharing arrangements – Taking into account each client’s specific needs, Puja advises on and prepares tailored partnership deeds and expense sharing agreements for our dental clients, including specialist documentation for limited partnerships.
• NHS regulatory law and NHS contracts – Puja has applied specialist knowledge of healthcare legislation to advising clients on NHS regulatory law and their NHS Contracts. 

In addition to the above, Puja also assists in the set up and drafting of tailored medical partnership deeds for GP partnerships, commercial property transactions, joint ventures and commercial contracts.
