Associate Solicitor
Neha completed the Legal Practice Course with Distinction at BPP Law School and joined Lockharts in 2006. Neha was admitted as a solicitor in the commercial department at Lockharts in 2008.
Neha currently heads Lockharts Optometry team and is also focused on handling the commercial aspects of optometry, dentistry and medical. Some of the main areas of work include, advising companies involved in mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, joint ventures and supporting due diligence investigations and other critical initial asset evaluations.
Neha advises on:
- Joint Ventures – Neha is experienced in structuring transactions and incorporating the specific nuances of optometry, dental and medical regulatory requirements. Neha assists clients with incorporation of their practices body corporates and produces a suite of documents associated with transferring a healthcare business including asset purchase agreements, shareholders agreements, loan documentation and tailored articles of association.
- Company Law and NHS Legislation – Neha has in-depth knowledge of company law and healthcare legislation and has applied this specialist knowledge in ensuring that each client’s corporate vehicle is compliant with relevant legal frameworks.
- Sale and purchase of practices – With a firm grip of both law and of preparing practice environments, Neha’s skill is in eliciting important information and documentation which exists outside of general business transactions together with ensuring sale documentation dovetails with healthcare and NHS law where appropriate;
- Incorporation of bodies corporate – Combining sound commercial knowledge with intricate knowledge of law, Neha works closely with clients to ensure that their business structures match their individual working arrangements. Neha is experienced with setting up Limited Liability Partnerships, drafting Shareholder Agreements
- Negotiation of commercial contracts – A proficient draftsman with an eye for detail, Neha advises on a range of commercial contracts as well NHS Contracts.
